How much fur on a twink?

i got into a discussion about what makes a twink. so i thought i ask the experts.

what makes a twink. specifically can a twink be furry?
can a twink have a beard(goatee, etc)? hairy chest?

i'm not talking peach fuzz here either?

or is a twink just an 18 year old regardless of appearance?

I think you hit on the difference between "teen" and "twink". Twinks are generally pretty smooth and "boyish". As soon as they start working out they turn into jocks. And if they've got a lot of hair above the waist then I'd call them a hairy teen, not a hairy twink...

Well thats always been an epic discussion here. We are trying to keep our niche close to the Twink category at least for Videoboys.com. We always told ourselves that a twink was a boy between 18 to 23-24-25. Boyish charm. Smooth, kinda lean. Hair isnt usually what we consider right away someone as being a twink.

To me a "true" twink is one that looks just 18 or less. "Twinky" is someone who looks 18 - 21 - smooth and cute.

Neither should have facial hair or even slight stubble. I've always tried to draw the line at "Twinkish" when choosing models for my site - clearly at least 18 and a little more developed / toned and able to grow stubble!

The problem with the term is that everyone seems to have a different definition. The central concept I think everyone agrees on... the component of young and/or young looking. It's the borders of the category that are pretty blurry. For me the young looking face wins out, even if the model is a bit hairy. Age alone certainly doesn't work.

Odd as it may seem, race seems to trumped the age related category. I young looking black guy or Asian guy rarely seem to be called just twinks. The race qualifier always seems to be there first. If you say just TWINK everyone assumes that he's white. I don't know if it's the industry that made it that way or if it was the audience.

I think "twink" really is the current phrase for what we called back in the 70s and 80s "chicken" and chicken meant young, even underage. I would say that once you hit 21 or start growing body hair, you've passed out of twinkdom. Twinks are supposed to look like boys, and boys have no muscle development, body hair, or facial hair.

You could, I suppose, create a niche and call it hairy twinks, but I think the guys would have to be boyish in the face.

LOL! Those adverts for cooking sauces back in the nineties that used the catchy theme tune "I feel like chicken tonight!" sure were pure irony for my generation lol Not sure if the ad campaign was global... but here in England we knew what it really meant rofl

And just to clarify - up until around 1994 the age of gay sex consent in the UK was 21... then it dropped to 18... and then to 16 - but I can't remember the specifics. Times changed real fast back then when you consider that 21 remained law for over 30 years.

I think "young" isn't necessarily the operating factor for a twink. Just because a guy is 19 doesn't make him a twink, the guy needs to look young, very young, even under age is better. So the fact that a Greek guy is 18 doesn't mean he's a twink; if he's hairy or has five o'clock shadow at 1 p.m., he ain't a twink in my book.
