page rank 4. it's mostly about how many pages/sites are linked to a site vs how many outgoing links the site has.

Ahh. I've never seen page rank abbreviated like that. Thanks.

I just don't know how this climbed up so fast!
That's great and all but are you making sales? PR is waaaaaay over rated. Just sayin...

Hasn't Google also almost uninstalled PR from it's toolbar. People were getting too hyped about it and not really paying attention to what really matter — a site's content.

I had this happen to me in about six weeks, then the site dropped down to a 2.
Don't get excited about PR. It's not what it use to be. I look at PR when I trade links as PR is one possible indication that the site may be an authority site.

Lloyd you are always the sense of reason. BTW my main site, Bathhouse Blues has been a PR4 for a long time, hopefully it will go up to a PR5 soon.

i worry more about traffic and sales than PR.

I was making most of my money on Universal Bear when it was a PR 0. And I actually got most of my traffic from Google when UB had low PRs.

That's funny. And speaking of rankings... Some of my worst ranked Alexa sites have generated the best conversions.
Never judge a site by it's PR or Alexa rank.
I don't think BarebackPlace.com has never been above PR2 but it's been really high in Google for "bareback". I mean I can seriously almost retire on that alone. Priceless!
<shameless plug>
I'm not retiring anytime soon so... we've filmed some amazing scenes recently so if you haven't joined our affiliate program, now would be a great time to do so. If your a current affiliate, turn up the promotion and get your share!

Yup, PR is pretty much old news these days. Its much smarter to look at SERPs.
