Hello,
today I have several new WP installations scheduled but I'm not sure if it's better going with WP 2.5 or using the old version? I read few posts about upgrading, but what would you do with a new installation?

Thank you.

Definitely go with the latest version, 2.5 is good, and if starting fresh, it is great. Just make sure your theme and plugins are 2.5 compatible.. as many aren't.

There is a compatibility list for both. I think you'll find it listed in this forum, just can't recall where... :bang:

Go with 2.5 right from the start - this version is stable.
I have upgraded all my blogs without any problems.

Thank you guys. Just installed WP 2.5. To be honest at first I was pretty confused about back-end panel :D

Yeah it takes a bit of getting used to after the earlier versions. Only real headache I have in using it is the damn automatic plug in utility, it seems to hang up every now and then, so I am using the old fashioned way of finding the updates, downloading, then uploading. Not sure if it is a conflict with my server, as on occassion it will say can't remove old plugin, then you just don't see it in the list.

I like it except some of the plugins are under settings for configuration, some under manage :bang:

Still I like it over all, makes things a bit easier and less time intensive.

Yep, I love WP 2.5. Some features have had a slight increase in productivity for me!
