I've no idea how it happened because I have my anti-virus and anti-spyware running...
It installed a somewhat legit looking program called "security central". I knew immediately it was bogus.
Whew! I've been saved. Thanks SUPERAntiSpyware!

These guys are scum bags. They always have been and will never change.
Does that virus affect Firefox (and similar browsers) as well? Or just IE?
My computer seems to be doing OK and I visited the site in question a number of times.

I've no idea. Can I with 100% certainty say it was their site that did it? No. However, I have never had this or anything similar happen in all the years I've been in this business or even before that. Then, the moment I visit & then exit their affiliate site, my computer gets taken over. Coincidence? Maybe, but with all the crap they've pulled and their obvious disdain for affiliates, I doubt it.
Anyway if your security is fully up to date including spyware protection you'll probably be fine. That was my problem, apparently I hadn't updated my spyware program since early December and they put out an update since then that would have caught it. Proves how important it is to keep everything up to date.
