text links? banners? buttons?

What do you think about buttons in the blogroll instead of text links?

Not sure, I've seem some really nice examples of it. But for it to work you really got to have some VERY nice looking buttons. Very few have. I'm sure a good button would attract more attention than a text link. Blogs are so visual that text easily gets missed.

I try to use a mix, as well as use multiple blogrolls, in that I use different link categories. I think a mix is easier on the loading issue, and just like too much of anything, all buttons would be just as bad, in my mind. I would think, that a judicial mix would be more beneficial, but hey, just my opinon.

I think he's referring to page load speed. The more graphics you have, the more code you have, the longer it takes to load the page, and surfer's attention span can be short.

I was refering to the load speed of your pages, which should be as fast as possible.
