Video preview pic that's from scene, but not necessarily the video?

Question... How do you guys feel about having a preview pic for a promo video that's from the scene, but not necessarily found in the promo video? I'm working on a project and the still images are so much better clearer, crisper and more compelling than doing a video screen cap... I can see if there are multiple videos from the scene - but this is a case where there will only be one.

To me having a great looking pic that's compelling and gets people to click to view the video is more important than whether that particular shot can be found in the promo video.

I am doing that often now. The shots from the SLR camera taken at the shoot are sharper than the stills taken from the video (I still haven't found a good program for Mac to take nice clear stills from video footage).
The stills I use may not be exactly the action found in the video but it still depicts who was in the video and what type of action is the video. I still take still shots during the video but find the clicking of the SLR on the video footage annoying.
