I recently tryed to add a free site a nice looking link list. After adding their recip, writing a description and all the usual stuff I click submit and get a message that Naked Hosting is on their "Black List".

Why would a hosting company known to allow adult content be black listed from an entire network of link list sites?

Are there other lists that don't allow content from naked hosting?

I've heard of some lists not taking specific sponsors (conflict of interest, etc), but not an entire hosting company that isn't a free host. Did you write and ask what's up with the black listing?

I saw a link list that banned Nat Net nameservers. It's very short-sighted imo.

That sounds odd. I can understand banning some free hosts, but a well known adult host? Maybe worth emailing them to find out why?

They probably did it without realising that it would ban an entire host. Maybe they just meant to ban one user but don't much about teck.

Thanks.
I'll send them an e-mail and ask. Just wondering if there was something about the hosting provider I may not be aware of.

I've allways heard good stuff about them. Probably just a silly mistake while trying to ban a submitter.

Thanks for every one replys.

I did e-mail the webmaster. He promptly wrote back asking to see some samples of my free sites. I sent him a few URLs and within a few hours received notification that my domains where added to his white list to avoid future problems.

In the past I have always just taken sites with submit problems and added them to a don't bother list. Maybe I should take another look at that list and contact a few of the site owners.
