the easiest way would be to install wordpress one folder deeper, and leave your warning page in the root folder.

so your warning page would be the index.html page in the public html folder of buckangel.tv and wordpress would be installed in buckangel.tv/buck/ or any name you prefer.

Hey Basschick! Thanks for the reply. yes I have that on my other blogs but wanted to just have the URL buckangel.tv as the main without having the other folder. I saw on someones site where a page comes up before you enter and I liked the way that looked.
Hope you are well i will be in LA late Nov. maybe we can have a drink!!

You could try one of those 'first time alert box' plugins, so that any first time visitor would get a pop up, which you would have your warning text on.

Another alternative is to use a static front page, set in your blog settings, so that the first page shown is always the same one, which you could configure to be a warning page. Set in 'settings > reading > static page' and I think you could make your own page, to have that be the one shown.

First Timer is one plugin, I'll look for the actual plugin, and post it when I find it.

is http://rawtop.com the sort of thing you were thinking of?

If so drop rawtop a pm, I'm sure he'd be happy to spend a couple of mins guiding you in the right direction.. he's usually quite friendly :)

EDIT: hmm.. I don't seem to get the popup anymore.. so maybe not such a great example.

yes that is one of them..the one I liked best was more like a flash type page..looks a bit more slick.
Appreciate the help:)
