With the expected release of 2.9 beta this month, here comes another security update for 2.8

The latest upgrade includes security fixes for code and stuff, so time to get the fingers limbered up to update with 2.8.5 that is now out.

You also might want to check out the exploit scanner plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exploit-scanner/), to see if you've been hacked.

This upgrade supposedly fights holes that is causing many to get ddos attack.

I upgraded 8 WP blogs without any problems, which is nice!

Groan.

I am sick and tired of these upgrades. I have ~80 WP blogs and even 3 minutes for each one takes more than half a day. I can't afford all of these fixes. Bye bye WP - not starting any new sites with it.

That sounds like a real pain!
Maybe it's time to check out other hosting providers.

I click the button <upgrade all installs at once> and I am done. 5 minutes later, all my blogs are updated.
