Is there anyway to merge old Epoch accounts into their new much better program.

Old Epoch:
https://epoch.com/reports/reseller/resellerLogin.php

New Epoch:
http://www.epochstats.com/webmasters/index.php

The old one is really difficult to use and doesnt work very well. The new one is great.. but there seems to be no way of merging old accounts into the new one.

Is that because its different systems? Is it possible and I've just not found how to do it.

Its just so much easier to manage under the new epoch which works much like CCbill but better..

I saw Rand answer this before on another forum (GFY maybe???) - the answer is no because the difference between old & new epoch is the 'ownership' of the affiliates, where the old system each program owned the affiliate and the new system epoch actually owns them....or something like that. But I am sure Rand the Man will come along and give a better explanation.

Rand told me that the program owners own the affiliates in the new system.

And I believe if the program owner didn't switch their program to the new system, then you can't do anything.

That is correct. There are two different contracts that program owners have w/ affiliates. In the old system you have to get the program owner to change your address. If a check comes back for so long to Epoch, they give it to the program owner.

I am still waiting for one program owner to change my address. But, really, what incentive does he have? He's getting my checks!

Ok.. that explains it. I do wish they could get it all moved over to one system - the new one. Its so much better, such a pain managing single accounts.

Thanks for the explenations!

Hello Board,

Wow! I actually had to register for this board. Haven't had to do THAT in a while.

Bjorn - Thanks for the good words about EpochStats (and thanks BassChick for hitting me up).

Let me clear one thing up from the beginning... Epoch does not own affiliates under any scenario.

As for the merging question, this is a request we wish we could fulfill but unfortunately due to an accounting issue we can not merge affiliates of the old program into Epoch Stats unless the sponsor requests that we do so. At the request of any sponsor we can import their affiliates into the new system and then affiliates can take full advantage of everything EpochStats has to offer.

I hope this answers your question.

If anyone has any specific questions about this, please contact support@epoch.com.

Hi Thanks for joining!

I think that does answer my question, one thing though.

Say I ask a sponsor to merge my account into the new one. Would he/she be able to do that for me only or all his affilaites.

Just trying to figure out if its worth me actually asking sponsor. No point if its a major thing for them to do which would affect all their affiliates.

And yes, I do like your new stats and affiliate setup. Its very easy to use and works very well.
