Do you leave the default 10 posts per page as is set in Wordpress, or do you decrease this value?

Since I often post many pics in a post (sometimes as many as 15) I found that the current page can get unwieldy and very slow to load.

I think that 6 posts per page is much better, but will I sacrifice the exposure to older posts?

I set values different for each blog. Usually I have 8 till 12 posts per page. It depends on the number of pictures per blogpost and how many times a blog updates.

I've gone as few as 3, as many as 18, as it depends on how your theme displays them, and how many pics there are. My gay talk blog (http://www.gaystoryman.com/talk/) has I think has 15, while my tube site (http://freexxxgaytube.com/) as 18. Others that are designed different, have considerably less.

I usually cut it down to 5 or 6 - so that they see more ads alongside the posts (my sidebars are not any longer than that).

I also adjust the posts that show on the main page based on the average length of posts and image content. If 10 loads slowly, I cut it back til it comes up pdf (pretty darn fast) ~!!!!

I think it is better to have less posts because of site speed. Less posts greater speed. Site speed load is important for SEO.
